Overview

Presbot provides tools for creating website assistants that answer visitor questions and collect follow-up inquiries. This policy explains what information Presbot collects, how it is used, and the choices available to account holders and website visitors.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create a Presbot account, we collect information such as your name, email address, authentication details, and account preferences.

If you sign in with LinkedIn, we may receive profile and email information from that provider according to your authorization and the provider’s terms.

Assistant content

We store the information you add to configure an assistant, including business details, saved questions and answers, Knowledge content, appearance settings, and inquiry questions.

Visitor conversations and inquiries

When a visitor interacts with a Presbot assistant, we may process the questions they submit, the answers shown, conversation context, and information they choose to provide through an inquiry flow, such as an email address, phone number, or responses to custom questions.

Technical and usage information

We may process technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as request details, timestamps, device or browser information, error logs, and usage events.

Presbot may use IP addresses for security controls such as rate limiting.

Payment information

Paid subscriptions are processed by our payment provider. Presbot does not store complete payment-card numbers.

How we use information

We use information to:

• provide and maintain Presbot;
• authenticate users and protect accounts;
• create, publish, and operate website assistants;
• generate and deliver assistant responses;
• collect and deliver visitor inquiries;
• send service and account communications;
• process subscriptions;
• troubleshoot errors and improve reliability;
• understand product usage and improve the service;
• prevent abuse and protect Presbot, its users, and visitors;
• comply with legal obligations.

AI-assisted responses

Some Presbot responses may be generated or assisted by third-party artificial-intelligence services. Information needed to generate a response may be sent to those providers. Account holders should avoid adding sensitive or confidential information that is not appropriate for this processing.

Presbot currently uses OpenAI for Smart Assistant and related generation features configured in the product.

Cookies and similar technologies

Presbot uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the service.

• Essential cookies: Presbot uses session and security cookies, including CSRF protection, to keep accounts signed in and protect forms.
• Analytics cookies: On selected public marketing pages, Presbot may use Google Analytics when enabled in site configuration. Presbot configures these tools to avoid sending authenticated product activity, assistant conversations, lead contents, or embedded widget interactions to Google Analytics.
• Third-party security cookies: Sign-up forms may use Google reCAPTCHA, which may set or use Google-related data as described in Google’s policies.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.

When we share information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Presbot, such as hosting, storage, email delivery, authentication, payment, analytics, and artificial-intelligence providers. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms.

Depending on configuration, this may include providers such as Amazon Web Services (storage and email delivery), Stripe (payments), Google (analytics and reCAPTCHA), LinkedIn (optional sign-in), and OpenAI (AI-assisted responses).

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a business transaction, or with the user’s direction or consent.

We do not sell personal information for money.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and security records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention depends on the type of information, the account status, and the reason it was collected.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of certain personal information.

Account holders may update some information through their Presbot account. Other requests may be submitted through the contact method below.

Children’s privacy

Presbot is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International processing

Presbot and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where the user or visitor is located. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Presbot changes. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective or review date.
